Board of Directors

The Board is the main governing body but day to day functions are handled by the CEO Mr Yogen Khosla. The CEO is assisted by the Executive Committee in monitoring the operations of the company and in taking decisions in the company affairs.

Mr. J.S. Tomar, Member of the Board of Directors

Mr. J.S.Tomar brings into Capital Trust, a rich experience in banking and microfinance. He worked with Oriental Bank of Commerce for 34 years and rose to the position of General Manager, holding charge of the departments of Rural Development and Priority Sector, Planning & Development and Recovery Management. He pioneered the first pilot in Grameen based microfinance launched by any commercial bank in India in 1995. Mr. Tomar then moved on to taking the responsibilities of Managing Director of Cashpor (rated as the 4th best MFI in the world and 2nd in India) from 2004-2009. Under his tenure, the company’s portfolio grew from INR 20 crore to INR 180 crore and client base from 20,000 to above 300,000. He also headed the Microfinance Department of the Reserve Bank of India as Officer on Special Duty. He has been director with Share Microfin (amongst the top 5 MFI’s in the country) and Sa-dhan (Association of Microfinance practitioners in India).

Mr. K.K.Raj, Member of the Board of Directors

Mr. K.K Raj is a banking veteran with 30 years of experience. Raj has worked with Indian Overseas Bank for 20 years in Finance and SME banking. Raj has been associated with Capital Trust since year 2000. Raj’s forte is in managing operations and formulating business strategies. He has vast experience in setting up systems and distribution in retail Banking and Consumer Finance. His experience is now being used in setting up of internal control systems in the microfinance operations of Capital Trust.

Mr. S Mahanti, Member of the Board of Directors

Mr Mahanti is a banking veteran with 30 years experience. He headed Puri Grameen Bank in Orrisa. The bank was primarily engaged in rural banking, agricultural and animal husbandry loans and microfinance. He has been a member of the board of Capital Trust Limited since 2004 and brings with him rich experience in banking and SHG banking. He is also currently engaged with few Non-government organizations (NGO) for the upliftment of weaker sections.

Commander K.L.Khullar (Retd.), Member of the Board of Directors

Mr Khullar has vast experience in human resources and administration. During his tenure with the Indian Navy he gained vast experience in Human resources and administration. He joined Capital Trust in 1995 and later joined the board of directors in 2005. His contribution lies in selection of geographical expansion area, formulating human resources policies for the company including selection, recruitment and management of staff members.  He is a graduate from Punjab University and is an Interpreter of BAHASHA INDONESIA from School of Foreign Languages of Ministry of Defense.

Management Team

Capital Trust’s management team is lead by an experienced team of financial professionals, who have extensive experience in providing financial services to the consumers and small businesses.

Mr. Yogen Khosla, Managing Director

Mr Khosla is a finance veteran with over 20 years experience. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and has studied at the Ealing College in London. He is also a member of the Financial Accountants in UK. He was a member on the Board of Directors of Kinetic Capital Finance and spearheaded their retail finance operations in North India. He was also Board member of DBS Capital Trust Securities India P Limited from 1996 to 2002. Since 2003, he has been working as the Managing Director of Capital Trust Limited. He forayed the company into microfinance business and has plans to take Capital Trust as the one of the leading MFI’s in India. He has the requisite experience required for growth of microfinance business in the company.
